Researching the space between people, technology and change.

My academic path began in Communication Sciences at the State University of Londrina, continued with a Master’s in Multimedia Communication at the University of Aveiro, and culminated in a PhD in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho. That progression shaped an interdisciplinary profile grounded in communication while gradually expanding towards digital media, technology and human-centred research.

My research has since developed across universities, European projects and international collaborations in Portugal and Brazil, addressing questions involving hyperconnectivity, temporal experience, interface evaluation, environmental communication and public engagement with research.

Rather than treating technology, communication and sustainability as separate fields, I am interested in the points where they meet: how people interpret technologies, how interfaces structure experience, how institutions communicate knowledge, and how research reaches the communities expected to use it.
